Can you tell us about your role at Nomaco and what your responsibilities entail?

My role as president at Nomaco is to ensure that I am effectively leading all teams and providing a unique perspective on business and growth. My role is to help my teams better understand our customers by being a trusted partner and building long-term relationships when providing high-quality foam solutions.

What innovative new trend or technology is particularly interesting for you currently?

Though I haven’t jumped in with both feet, I’ve been closely following the breakneck speed at which AI and ChatGPT are disrupting the world. I think we’re at an inflection point with what that technology will enable, and it will forever change the way many things are done. Not sure what impact it will have on foam and our business, but it will definitely have an impact at some point.

What are you most excited about for Foam Expo 2023?

At Nomaco, we are always looking for new innovative ways and solutions to bring to our customers. With that in mind, we are excited to learn more about other companies and ways that they are revolutionizing this industry. It is always great to speak with other leaders in the industry to get their perspective on new trends and technologies.

Why should attendees visit your booth?

We are excited for attendees to learn more about how Nomaco is a recognized leader in the design and extrusion of custom-engineered foam products and components for a wide range of markets including construction, home furnishings, packaging, fitness & recreation, transportation, and more. At Nomaco, we care about building trust and transparency with our customers, and we are thrilled to show that in person at Foam Expo.

If you could have one famous person (present or from the past) over for dinner, who would they be and why?

I’m not overly enamored with famous people as I tend to have a greater appreciation for the dedicated people who quietly go about doing meaningful things every day—who often go unnoticed. That said, how do I choose? Someone I think would be interesting to have over for dinner is Ryan Reynolds. He’s hilarious. He’s a family man. He’s an amazing entrepreneur and marketer. Though he uses more colorful language than I do…it would be a fascinating meal!

If you were stuck on a desert island, what one item would you bring?

That’s tough! Do you go with an item that helps you survive and thrive physically? Mentally? Intellectually? Emotionally? Assuming I could rig up some kind of solar power to keep the battery charged (maybe even using coconuts à la Gilligan’s Island), I’d probably go with a Kindle loaded with all kinds of books, articles, references, etc.
