FoamPartner (Otto Bock Polyurethane Technologies Inc) Expands Its Presence and Domestic Production in North America
FoamPartner / Otto Bock PTI is opening a new $2.5m polyurethane blending unit and tank farm in Rochester Hills, with an annual production capacity of 30 million pounds.
The Switzerland-based global company, owned by Conzzeta AG of Zurich, has more than 4,700 employees and sales of CHF1,482.8m in 2017.
The new blending unit and tank farm covers an area of 30,000ft2 and will use the latest technology from Germany to produce high-quality, consistent polyol blends and isocyanate prepolymers.
With over 60 years’ polyurethane experience, the plant produces integral skin, flexible, semi-rigid, rigid foam and elastomer wet chemical systems for molders needing the latest technology. Industries including transportation and furniture are consistently demanding improved properties for foam and elastomers, especially in the areas of VOCs, flammability, molded densities and water absorption. This is the focus of the development department in Duderstadt, Germany
The use of state-of-the-art blending technology enables short, flexible lead times. From single drums to 42,000 lb tank truck deliveries, the latest in polyurethane wet chemical systems is available now in Michigan.
