Diverse line-up of innovation to feature at Foam Expo 2018
North America's leading event for the global foam industry returns to Novi, Michigan this 6-8 March, bringing with it the latest innovations and smartest solutions for foam applications.
Free to attend, Foam Expo draws attendees and exhibitors from around the world. Across the vast show floor, companies from the entire industry will display and demonstrate new, groundbreaking products.
American Excelsior is among those taking part, situated at booth 211. It will showcase AmexCoat, a brand new coating system that works seamlessly with most of the company's flexible foam products. Eliminating the need for fabric covers, the product adds strength and integrity to the foam and delivers a high-quality, washable finish that can be reused and which offers a longer product lifespan than other fabrics. The company says its production process eliminates the need for fabric covers, and the product has numerous applications, from usage in medical pads and sports equipment to flotation pads in marine environments.
At booth 933, Unique Fabricating Inc will present a full-size simulated automobile to demonstrate the company's TwinShape duct technology. This new technology offers impressive weight savings of up to 85% compared with conventional hard-plastic-molded ducts, as well as less moisture collection, which means better performance. Experts from the company will be on-site to discuss the merits of the technology and its applications, as well as Unique Fabricating Inc’s other offerings and capabilities.
A new line of water-based mold releases for flexible foam will also be on display, courtesy of Hightower Products LC. The mold releases offer unique benefits such as lower cost per pound compared to traditional solvent-based materials and superior foam quality. Hightower is elevating water-based mold releases to a more prominent market position, and attendees can discover more at booth 517.
Meanwhile, XOnano Smartfoam will showcase its self-sensing piezoresponsive smart foam at booth 1020. The material replaces regular foam with smart material, making it possible to monitor the impact of the material and empowering customers to gather data in a way that's never before been achieved. XOnano has set its sights on becoming the future of data-gathering, and today works with partners to combine its sensing capabilities with some of the most advanced foams in the world.
At booth 527, Recticel will reveal how it is transforming the world of industrial equipment and consumer goods, showcasing its expansive portfolio of foam solutions for automotive interiors and engine compartments.
Sekisui Products LLC also works in car interiors, producing a new, innovative, double-faced adhesive tape that readily adheres to molded resin products and polyurethane foams. Environmentally friendly and delivering unmatched support for automobiles, the 5782 PSA tape will be on display at booth 960.
Booth 908 will host Bruker Corporation, which will showcase its RAID-M handheld chemical vapor detector. The product utilizes ion mobility technology to detect harmful chemicals in real time. A recent case study carried out in foam factories will be available, which demonstrates RAID-M’s effectiveness, speed, sensitivity, and reliability.
These products will be among thousands at Foam Expo 2018, where attendees get the unique opportunity to explore the latest innovations and trends to emerge from across the entire foam-industry spectrum. Register for your free pass to make sure you're part of the action.
