Concentrol’s mold release agents prevent high-adhesion polyurethane foams from sticking to molds, and allows pieces to be removed without imperfections. There is a family of mold release agents designed for each of the different applications, needs and possible variations in polyurethane molding. They can be supplied as ready-to-use concentrates, diluted or diluted concentrates depending on customer needs.

Innovation in Mold Release Agents For Polyurethane Foams: Electrostatic Mold Release Agents, Advantages and Applications
Concentrol’s electrostatic mold release agents offer an important decrease in consumption of between 30% and 50%, along with a significant reduction in VOCs emitted, thereby improving the work environment. They make it easier to control application through robotic systems (although manual application is possible). However, they require specific equipment and larger, heavier guns, which results in a greater investment in equipment.
Electrostatic mold release agents are currently viable only on a solvent basis, since the water bases have infinite conductivity. Concentrol can convert any solvent-based reference from its catalog to electrostatic. Electrostatic products do not exhibit strong odors or additional toxicity, and allow electrostatic work with solvents known in the industry as class 1, 2 or 3.
